- Vilma's own experience in the field of family caregiving has given her the compassion necessary to understand the need for excellence and the need for quality homecare. Due to Vilma's love for people, especially the elderly, and her spiritual background, Vilma set out to open a homecare service, a homecare service that would treat people like people and not like clients, but instead like family. Vilma retired from Nyack hospital in October 2007, and started her own non-medical homecare agency called "Preferred Homecare Plus Inc." located in Nyack NY.
